Drawing life with Kevin

I've been doing a lot of life drawing since I started attending Kevin Chen's Analytically Figure Drawing class at CDA a few weeks ago. Needless to say, 90% of it is a scribble crap, but that other 10% IS INCREDIBLY actually decent. Here are a few highlights from the last few weeks.

I'm kinda proud of the last one there. I don't usually draw that well!!! Hopefully I'll have more cool life drawings to show later. Maybe 11% will be decent :')

Check out a few more life drawings at my newly prettied website http://www.kevinlamdraws.com/drawings/life-drawing

Okay off to watch THE DARK KNIGHT RISES MIDNIGHT PREMIERE NOW YEAH

Website complete!

I feel your pain. You've been waiting countless years for my website to return (despite it only being gone for only a year). You've cried yourself to sleep and I apologize for those tears. I too have felt said sad sorrow swell upon my cheeks in turn of slumber. But alas! Pain no more!! For my website, named kevinlamdraws.com, has once again reached a state of completion!!!

I have nearly all my artwork and projects up there, including some NEVER BEFORE SEEN artwork!! It's technically finished but there's still a few things I want to add to it (like more pretty pictures). It's like I released a complete game but there's still a bunch of unreleased DLC. This new DLC lets you ride a firey horse.

Check it out!

That is all.

Chuggin' along

Talk: "YEAH SUMMER TIME. TO MAKE LOTS OF ART!!"

Walk: "Why am I so busy I STILL DON'T HAVE TIME TO WORK ON MY PROJECTS..."

That's the jist of my summer so far. I'm adjusting to my new apartment, hanging out with some important people, working nearly full time, taking a summer art class, and STILL trying to squeeze in some time to draw. I have been sketching occasionally (you can check out some of my sketchbook stuff on my twitter @keviokevio), and I have been able to draw (almost) every day, but it's really difficult to keep to a schedule that doesn't really factor in... life.

Luckily I got a random spurt (is spurt a word) of inspiration a couple laaate nights ago and made a few quick sketches for my animated short. It's in the pre-alpha stage right now so I'm just experimenting with different stuff. Hopefully I'll have time to show you guys more later!

P.S. You can probably tell in my drawings that my CDA class has only covered the upper torso so far HAH.
