Alas, poor lam attack...

I will be slowly migrating my lam attack blog over to Tumblr so I can utilize the various features it has, and to integrate it more closely with my comic Ascent. It saddens me because I've been with Blogger for so long, but I can't keep updating both blogs, and when it's time to move on, it's time to move on. -wipes tear-

My tumblr is this:

Note that it is NOT Someone already took that domain. That dummy.

Ascent #002 and #003

Read this one!

Ascent #002 - Relationship building

And then this one!

Ascent #003 - Up and over

A lot of my artistic energy lately has been going into these comics, so please take a look! Follow the Tumblr here:

OOoorrrr you can follow it on the app Tapastic. What's exciting about Tapastic is that Ascent was able to reach a wider audience, and thus has been able to garner a large following! It currently has 3.1k subscribers, was featured the app's front page, and was also features as a staff pick, a "trending" comic, and a "popular" comic. The support is overwhelming and flattering at the same time, and I'm very, very thankful.

So here's the link to Ascent on Tapastic (download it to your phone, too!):

Episode 4 will be posted Monday, so be sure to follow THOSE sites because lam attack will only be updated occasionally with Ascent comics.

Ascent #001

First official Ascent comic has been posted! I'm not gonna post the whole thing here because now you have incentive to go to the actual site and follow it!

Ascent Trivia!: The original intent for Ascent was to create a comic that was made for the smart phone. I've read comics on my phone before, but they're not the most intuitive thing because the dimension of the panels are constantly changing. So eventually I came up with Ascent, a comic that had every panel the exact dimensions as a phone screen (specifically iPhone 6).

I'll be posting new Ascent comics at least once a month.

Spelunkers was a short idea I pitched to Nickelodeon a few months ago. It's about 3 cave explorers (a mole, a rabbit, and a rollie pollie) who venture out and discover treasure, friends, and foes in "The Cave".

For the pitch I created a 12-page Bible that included a synopsis, character descriptions, an outline of the short, an expression sheet, some concept art (BGs and props by Eric Omega), additional characters, and some potential-series-if-you-love-me episode ideas. AND THEN ALSO I storyboarded the whole 3-minute short out which ended up being about 370 panels.

I wish I could show you more, but then I'd have to kill you. Via a lam attack. Also I might develop this property further so I don't want to reveal it all today. Ask me if you have any questions about the project, or wish to see more art for it!

P.S. Next month I'll start posting Ascent comics. REGULARLY. DUH DUHDUDHDUDHDUH. I'm excited.

Plein animating

Drew Eric Omega plein air painting. If you ignore the definition of plein air and the grammatical rules of a gerund, you could say I did a plein air of Eric plein airing!

He's drawing a squirrel because I couldn't see what he was really drawing.

Ascent #000

My new comic is here! YOU CAN READ IT NOW. (click on them)

This was originally gonna be issue #001, but I'm working on the next one right now and the style is so radically different that this one seems almost irrelevant. But hopefully I stay consistent with my current style this time, otherwise I'm gonna have a good handful of "000" issues...

I will be posting new ones on this Tumblr here:

Please follow!

Let me know what you think! Even if you hate it! And if you hate it, I will hate you! But that's fair!

A lady with a sword

There should be more interesting female leads in stories whose defining characteristic is more than just "tough" or "badass". They need to be more complex and interesting, and more importantly, funny! And I'm not saying this from a feminist "WOMAN POWER" standpoint, I think it would just be nice to see. As well, there should be more stories with people who have detachable appendages. Wouldn't that be awesome?? I'd love to see a show with someone who could take off his leg and swing it around like an axe!! We need more of those!!! But maybe that's just the appendagist in me talking.

Financial lam attack

I drew this with the intentions of putting this lam attack on a friend's credit card, but the picture was denied. I dunno why, maybe something about money burning being a federal crime or something..?

Rick Pepper Silver

I have a small backlog of art I gotta post. Time to turn it into a frontlog!

Above is part of a pitch I worked on for the Nickelodeon shorts program *last year*. It's called Rick Pepper Silver, and it's about three entrepreneurs who are a rock, a paper, and a pair of scissors. I also wrote a script and did beat boards for it.

I have a new pitch for the shorts program *this year*... but I'll talk about that later. If you ever want to see what I did for Rick Pepper Silver or my current pitch, just ask me in person, I don't think I'll put everything online publicly just yet.

Finishing things

This is me. Always.

I think this is a result of me getting a good idea, but when I start to execute it, I either realize it's too hard to make it as good as I want, or
